Description of the framework functions and their operands

function selectElements(root, path);
  • root = a Node, the starting point
  • path = a string, representing the path
  • returns = an Array of Elements

function selectAttributes(root, path);
  • root = a Node, the starting point
  • path = a string, representing the path
  • returns = an Array of Objects. Every object is a Map ( attributename --> value) .

function selectContents(root, path);
  • root = a Node, the starting point
  • path = a string, representing the path
  • returns = an Array with all the content generated starting from that node (childs included)

function setAttributes(root, path, attributes);
  • root = a Node, the starting point
  • path = a string, representing the path
  • attributes = an Object, that is a Map that represents all the attributes to add, where the key is the attribute name, and the value is the attribute value
  • returns = a boolean

function setContent(root, path, content);
  • root = a Node, the starting point
  • path = a string, representing the path
  • content = The content to add the inner html of the selected element, can be a String or an Element
  • returns = a boolean

function removeElements(root, path);
  • root = a Node, the starting point
  • path = a string, representing the path
  • returns = a boolean
